GCUF formed Faculty Committee to Ensure Quality Examination
Government college university Faisalabad (GCUF) has formed a Faculty Examination Committee (FEC) to ensure the quality in internal examination of all the departments of Social Sciences. The committee is formed by faculty board in its last meeting on the recommendation of dean Social Sciences Dr. Asmin Mahmood.
According to NEWS Line, the FEC is comprised of Dr. Rizwan Ullah Kokab, Dr. Ghulam Mustafa, Dr. Babak Mahmood, Dr. Ghulam Murtaza, Dr. Amir Manj and Mr. Shahid Anjum. The Committee is constituted to monitor the work of departmental Examination and to evaluate a sample of Question Papers of every department.
According to sources, dean social sciences Dr. Asim recommended regarding formation of the FEC due to complaints of low standard question papers in internal examinations of various departments of Social Sciences in the period of former dean Dr. Mughees. Some more important steps have also been taken to ensure the quality education in high standards of internal examination in all the important of faculty of social sciences of GCUF.
The Faculty Board also ordered all the departments of Social Sciences to constitute its Examination Committee which would be authorized to assess, maintain and to raise the standards and quality of the question papers of the departments, the sources added. All the chairperson, coordinators and teaching incharge of Department of Psychology, Law, Education, English literature, Linguistic, Art and Design, Library and information sciences, Political Science & International Relations, Sociology, History & Pakistan Studies and Mass communication have advised to must ensure quality in internal examination. According to sources, the action may be taken against the concerned HOD on administrative grounds, who violate the directions regarding departmental examination committee. The vice chancellor of the GCUF has also been conveyed about formation of FEC and directions regarding departmental committee and other steps regarding quality examination system, sources added.
