Kissan Ghee and cooking oil has been Declared poisonous
Kisan ghee and cooking oil has been declared unhealthy and poisonous thrice by the Punjab Food Authority. According to PFA 61 brands including kissan ghee and kissan cooking oil (sunflower) failed to pass the health. PFA conducted health test thrice but kissan ghee and kissan cooking oil never pass the test. Kissan cooking oil and ghee is a big brand of the country and manufactured in Faisalabad. In PFA operation 118 ghee brands passed the test but analysis of 88 brands remain in process. PFA could not complete the test process since many months.
According to PFA, food teams collected samples of more than two hundred cooking oil and ghee for laboratory test from the open market in the presence of companies’ representatives. The samples were taken by following blind-sampling method throughout the province. Kissan ghee brand “Kissan sunflower oil” never pass the test.
Kissan ghee mills is a company owned by a big industrialist Mian Hanif and his family. This family is also intruded in the media industry with a big name “92 News”. The 92 news has intervene in both modes of media, electronic media and print media.
The Punjab Food Authority teams destroyed 47,233 kilo unfit ghee and cooking oil from the market after the products of 61 brands failed laboratory tests during the last operation.
