NAB Arrested PTI senior minister Punjab Aleem Khan
LAHORE:- National Accountability Bureau arrested PTI leader Aleem Khan in connection with offshore companies scandal. Aleem Khan was senior minister Punjab and also President PTI Central Punjab. The NAB had summoned Aleem Khan at Lahore office for interrogation. The investigation officials were reportedly not satisfied with the records provided by him.
NAB Arrested Abdul Aleem Khan has resigned as Punjab Minister for Local Govt and Community Development after his arrest. He has announced to face the case in the court. Meanwhile, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has hailed Aleem Khan‘s volunteer resign following NAB detention and said that everything should be proceeded as per the law. Earlier, PTI leader said that he had provided the details of his assets to the Election Commission of Pakistan and the Federal Board of Revenue.
It is to be mentioned here that NAB had initiated probe into Aleem Khan’s offshore company on order of Chairman NAB Justice Javed Iqbal after he was named in Panama Leaks in April 2016 among 435 Pakistanis. A thorough inquiry had been launched into shell entities situated in British Virgin Islands and the accountability bureau had sought details of persons concerned from FBR and State Bank of Pakistan. Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan and FIA had also been directed to comply with NAB’s requirements for the inquiry.
